I am Lucy Salinas—

I was diagnosed with lupus at 17.
I lived through years of severe illness, multiple comas, six months of chemotherapy, amnesia, steroid injections, and taking up to 36 pills a day.
My healing did not begin when I added more.
It began when I understood my body.
